Get in FREE to PorktoberQue if you wear Lederhosen or a Dirndl (German-type outfit)!
Tickets are just $5 per person per day, payable at the gate. Extra fees may apply to certain activities, such as children’s games and rides, peoples choice sampling and food and drinks. Children 12 and under are admitted free. PorktoberQue is in its 5th year as a KCBS sanctioned barbecue competition and as an awesome less-than-traditional Oktoberfest. It is held at the Houston County Farm Center in Dothan, Alabama the last weekend of September.
This year’s festival is September 23-25, 2015. The Houston County Farm Center is located at 1701 E. Cottonwood Road in Dothan. It’s on the Ross Clark Circle, at the intersection of Highway 53.
Gates are open Friday September 25th from 5-10PM. These are the hours also for the indoor Biergarten (beer garden) which is air-conditioned and provides live music.
Gates are open Saturday September 26th from 10am-6pm. The indoor Biergarten is also open these hours, but entertainment in the Biergarten does not begin until 11AM.
Gates are open Sunday September 27th from 10am-5pm. Beer will be served after 1pm, in accordance with Alabama beverage control laws.
