PorktoberQue is in its 5th year as a KCBS sanctioned barbecue competition and as an awesome less-than-traditional Oktoberfest. It is held at the Houston County Farm Center in Dothan, Alabama the last weekend of September.

This years festival is September 23-25, 2016. The Houston County Farm Center is located at 1701 E. Cottonwood Road in Dothan. Its on the Ross Clark Circle, at the intersection of HWY 53.

Gates are open Friday September 23th from 5-10PM. These are the hours also for the indoor Biergarten (beer garden) which is air-conditioned and provides live music from 6-10.

Gates are open Saturday September 24th from 10am-6pm. The indoor Biergarten is also open these hours, but entertainment in the Biergarten does not begin until 10:30AM.

Gates are open Sunday September 25 from 10am-5pm. The Biergartgen will begin serving beer after noon, in accordance with local and state laws. There will be entertainment in the Biergarten from 11-4. Sunday is free if you bring back your ticket stub from Friday or Saturday, or $5 if you did not come either of the two previous days.

Admission is $5 per person each day, and children 12 and under are free. 15 different non-profits, civic and church groups directly benefit from PorktoberQue as well as several local schools. All of the money raised stays here locally to boost and benefit our community.
