A long tradition between Music South and Wallace Community College, the annual jazz festival in downtown Dothan includes three unique venues: A daytime competition among regional high school, community college and university jazz bands; a renowned jazz artist, as visiting artist and educator, providing an instructional session in the afternoon and an evening concert of extraordinary jazz entertainment. The concert setting is informal, with New Orleans style décor and specialty foods available for purchase from local vendors. |
